> When the id comes from `$request->validate()` (or anything typed `mixed`), Larastan can't tell whether you passed one key or an array. `find()` accepts both, so the result is typed as `Model|Collection|null`, and the next line fails:
>
> ```
> Call to an undefined method App\Models\Note|Illuminate\Database\Eloquent\Collection<int, App\Models\Note>::update().
> ```
>
> Don't cast or add an `@var` to silence it. Ask for one row explicitly:
>
> ```php
> // Before: Note|Collection|null
> $note = Note::query()->find($validated['id']);
>
> // After: Note|null
> $note = Note::query()->whereKey($validated['id'])->first();
> ```
>
> Same SQL, and the type is now what you meant.
